System: First check whether the book is held by the Library and available for loan. This can be done on line at www.lescotilslibrary.org or by a visit to the library where catalogues and the borrowing file are kept in the Andrew Mitchell Room. Books may be reserved for you by e-mail or telephone but must be collected and signed out in person, with details recorded in the borrowing file. This is a self-service system which relies on honesty and trust.
Borrowing time for most books is normally two months. We would ask that you respect this rulw in order to keep administrative costs down, enabling the Library to continue to function as a free amenity.
Reference only books are housed in the Sark Room and oversize books in Andrew Mitchell Room.
